What is the music of yoga? How does it emerge from within us as we step onto the mat?
Ty Landrum, ashtanga vinyasa yoga teacher and director of the Yoga Workshop in Boulder, Colorado, addresses how music relates to yoga, relationships, consciousness, and the interconnection of things in this video, ‘The Music of Yoga.’
“Ashtanga vinyasa is a musical form. The postures are strung together like the notes of a melody over a constant drone of breath. When we move through the postures with a steady cadence, the music of the practice begins to emerge,” Ty Landrum says to introduce the video.
The video shows Ty gracefully integrating posture and gaze as he practices yoga on a rooftop in Mysore, India.
